  1. The one large one, I use them. The Jimmy wess big ass picks, usually the medium ones, they’re cool for rhythm guitar because they’re super big and you can strum very aggressively without scraping your fingers, plus, the "drag" you mentioned with the thin ones gives a sound I kinda like

  2. the only other guitar store we had in our town was a sick sam ash… rip the boys fav store, now we gotta go to overpriced guitar center 😭

  3. Purple Dunlop Tortex are my go-to. Basic, but good. I’ve tried jazz picks, and while they’re great for soloing, I found them to be pretty lacking when it comes to playing thick chunky riffs with strong pick attack.

  4. best new picks EVER! the 3d pick from Anatomy of sound, with asses or boobs to hold them lol. you will thank me latter. the white ones, heart attacks they are pointy and hard. great company. it plays so great for shredding omg!!

  5. When I got my first guitar, I got a dunlop multi pack. It had a Jazz III max grip, and that’s been my go to out of the whole pack!

  6. I don’t think you gave Gravity picks a chance. Use them on acoustic guitar vs your plastic shopping bag picks and you hear a big difference, plus they stick to your fingers better.

  7. Graptech Tusq picks .88 have an indescribable smooth and crispy sound. They sound like glass when you drop them on a table

  8. I’m a beginner acoustic guitar player and I’d like to learn with picks but the sound most of them make while strumming simply annoys me and because of that I prefer to play with fingers but all I have tried were picks under 1mm maybe I simply need thicker ones. I’ll try jazz 3.

  9. Lol. I use VERY thin picks and have zero problem playing as fast as I want. In fact, my picks are so thin, I actually have two thicknesses on every pick that I can switch between as needed. I use the slightly thicker side when playing chords and the thin corner for solos because I can fly with it.

The real answer is pick the pick that feels right in your hand.

  10. No one drills holes in their picks anymore. These kids don’t know what the hell they’re doing.

I guess that little trick that instantly improves sound and playability went right out the window along with their morals.
    I’m 28 and I feel like a relic

  11. My favourite pick is a rubber garden hose seal ⭕️ because it punches a solid sound without a plastic pick sound. Also the rubber twists and grabs the strings better. Also the ring shape means the horridly inconsistent reuleaux triangle shape won’t twist around in your fingers because circles never change their edge and holes are easy to put your fingers in

  12. Dunlop nylon .88mm all the way in my opinion. Perfect mix of flexibility, stiffness and grip for me. Been using them for going on 20 years. I almost never drop them and have never broken a single one. The only danger is losing em and having to go buy more.

  13. those gravity picks are acrylic. they stick to your fingers when your body heat warms them up. like dont even have to pinch it kind of sticks

  14. i dont even use a pick because im a fucking god on the guitar. but seriously god gave you five picks per hand and you arent limited to using one at a time. you can play everything you can with a single pick on nothing but your fingers, and then some.

  15. I use sandpaper on my guitar picks in order to give them a more gritty feel when I’m playing, otherwise if I don’t, then the pick feels too smooth and ‘slippery’ when the pick makes contact with the string. Strange I know but I’ve been doing it for years and it works for me.

  16. I’ve been using Big Stubby 3mm for like a decade and a half now. Whenever I play, it’s just what I pick up. It’s the most comfortable pick I’ve ever used. I have an old Jazz II, yes, Jazz 2, not 3, and I don’t really care for it too much. I’d gladly try out a Jazz III though.

  17. I used to use only jazz iii picks and then I got some big stubby picks for Christmas and I’ve never gone back since. As a metal guitarist, they are a game changer.

  18. finally jokes for 2000s kids!!! i identity as a late 90s LOL even though thats a big fat lie cause i was born in 97 so i dont remember jack shit up untill like 2001 LOL but ya love the content man this is the first video of yours ive seen and i dig it man
